UCT units are used where shaft adjustment and belt-tightening devices are required, such as in conveyor applications. These units provide compact, efficient supports for adjustable shafts and conveyer take-up pulleys. These units use wide inner ring ball bearings with self-aligning spherical outside diameters that compensate for shaft misalignment. Slot spacing and width are interchangeable with competitive units. These bearings are also designed to be self-aligning, easy to install, and feature a dual-structure seal, allowing them to operate in harsh environments. Bearing seats are typically cast. Commonly used seats include vertical seats (P), square seats (F), boss square seats (FS), boss round seats (FC), diamond seats (FL), annular seats (C), and slider seats (T).
Insert bearing units are divided into a core and a housing. The core and housing are often referred to together, such as the UC205 insert bearing with a set screw and a T-seat with a slider, called the UCT205. Insert bearing units are highly interchangeable, allowing the core to be freely assembled in housings of the same specification or different shapes.
